Mega Roulette was released in 2021 by Pragmatic Play. It comes complete with interesting bonus features that really set it apart from most other live dealer versions of roulette. The most compelling of these is the addition of exciting Mega Multipliers.
It’s worth pointing out that the game is not wholly original – it has a great deal in common with Evolution Gaming’s Lightning Roulette. Since that game was released in 2018, it’s fair to assume that this is where the ruleset originated. But is it worth your time anyway?
As you’ll see below, the game has a couple of features (like Mega Bets and lower minimum bets) that give Mega Roulette an appeal all of its own. But we’ll get to all of that soon enough. First, the basics…

With the exception of Mega Multipliers, sitting down to play Mega Roulette is very similar to playing any other version of European roulette. If you’re unsure how roulette works, check out our standard roulette guide, but otherwise, check out our variant-specific walkthrough of the game below.
Despite the addition of lucrative Mega Multipliers, this game doesn’t really give you anything extra to consider when you’re placing your wagers – multipliers are not assigned until after betting is over, so there’s no way to miss them while you’re playing. Just focus on placing your bets, then cross your fingers that one (or more!) of your numbers gets a multiplier.
The addition of Mega Multipliers considerably changes the standard rules of European roulette, giving you a chance to win enhanced payouts with every spin of the wheel. Refreshed every round, they’re a thrilling addition and they work like this:
During every spin, between 1 and 5 numbers from the roulette wheel will be assigned Mega Multipliers. The numbers apply to randomly selected straight up bets, and grant wins of between 50x and 500x your wager. That’s much higher than a standard single number win!
These are group bets that have been specifically designed for Mega Roulette. They include wagers like Mega Chances, Mega Columns, and Mega Dozens, and are designed to allow you to place popular bets en masse rather than having to select numbers in bulk manually.
The table below shows odds and payouts for many of the key bets when playing Mega Roulette online. These combine to give the game an overall RTP of 97.3%. In other words, over an infinite number of playing sessions, a player will get back ₹97.30 for every ₹100 wagered.
We should also point out that the RTP of single number bets falls to 81.08% if you never hit a Mega Multiplier. Statistically speaking, that’s extremely unlikely if you play regularly and make wagers on single numbers often. For that reason, for all intents and purposes, you can consider the Mega Roulette RTP to be the same as any other version of European roulette.
Bet | Payout | Odds | Covers |
---|---|---|---|
Single Number | 29:1 to 499:1 | 2.7% (lower for Mega Multipliers) | 1 number |
Red/Black | 1:1 | 48.65% | 18 numbers |
Odd/Even | 1:1 | 48.65% | 18 numbers |
High/Low | 1:1 | 48.65% | 18 numbers |
Street | 11:1 | 8.1% | 3 numbers |
Corner | 8:1 | 10.81% | 4 numbers |
Line | 5:1 | 16.21% | 6 numbers |
Column | 2:1 | 32.43% | 12 numbers |
Dozens | 2:1 | 32.43% | 12 numbers |
There isn’t a ton you need to think about when wagering on Mega Roulette online, but here are a few tips that might give you an edge:
Be sure to look at our tracker and results feed - you can’t play live dealer games for free, so this is a good way to get a feel for the game before you start playing for real money.
Consider (but don’t rely on) betting systems like the Fibonacci or D’Alembert. They can be risky because of table limits, but some players find success with them in the short term.
There’s no such thing as a sure thing, and you should never bet big on something that appears to be an inevitability. This is a game of chance, after all, and can’t be predicted.
Never bet more than you can afford to lose because you may end up chasing losses, which often leads to even more heartbreak. Start small and try to build your bankroll from there.
Don’t overlook single number wagers and Mega Bets, since these are the only bets that are eligible for wins enhanced by Mega Multipliers.
Mega Roulette live has a minimum bet of just ₹10, which is low for a live dealer game and considerably less than Evolution Gaming’s Immersive Roulette, which is usually around ₹100. In other words, if you’re looking to play a game like this with a pretty small bankroll, Mega Roulette could be the variant for you. Playing with the minimum bet, you could win ₹5,000 from a 500x Mega Multiplier on a single number bet.
At the other end of the scale, high rollers can wager as much as ₹250,000 on a single spin of the wheel. That’s an eye-watering ₹125,000,000 from a successful 500x Mega Multiplier wager! We should note here, however, that some casinos impose a lower maximum bet than the theoretical limit imposed by Pragmatic Play. They should, however, always be more than high enough to suit most players.
Mega Roulette was created by Pragmatic Play, who released the game in 2021. The brand was once better known for slots like Wolf Gold and Big Bass Bonanza, but they’ve spent a lot of time and money investing in their live casino, which has more than 20 games in 28 languages.
Of course, live Mega Roulette is one of these games. That means it benefits from the multiple 4K cameras, professional dealers/croupiers, and beautiful gaming studio that all Pragmatic live dealer games feature. The brand has also followed up Mega Roulette with Auto Mega Roulette, a version of the game that ditches the dealer and automates all aspects of the game.
Pragmatic Play’s Mega Roulette is a fantastic take on European roulette. The additional random multipliers of up to 500x really amp up both the win potential of the game and the excitement you’ll experience while playing it. It performs well and looks beautiful too.
The only real downside here? As enjoyable as the game might be, Mega Roulette is really just a clone of Evolution Gaming’s Lightning Roulette. That’s not a huge problem, since they’re both great games, but we’d have loved to see a few tweaks to that rule set beyond adding extra bets.
With that said, its introduction of Mega Bets and lower minimums might just give this game the edge over its Evolution Gaming equivalent. As for us, the games feel more or less interchangeable and it’s nice to have both options available depending on the provider(s) a site uses.
Mega Roulette is an awesome live dealer game, but it’s not the only one out there. Check out some other great live dealer games below.
Mega Roulette, released by Pragmatic Play in 2021, is a live dealer version of European roulette. The game makes some significant changes to the rules of the game, namely through Mega Multipliers, that amplify the payouts possible from a winning single number bet.
Yes. To play Mega Roulette in India, you’ll need to sign up with an online casino that offers Pragmatic Play games – we’ve highlighted some of the best we’ve found further up this page. This game, and its “sequel” Auto Mega Roulette, are among Pragmatic’s most popular.
There are plenty of online casinos that support Pragmatic Play’s live games – just browse through our shortlist of the best Mega Roulette casinos to find your preferred choice.
Mega Roulette is not rigged. Pragmatic Play itself was founded back in 2015 and is a reputable, well-known gaming developer offering games to licensed and regulated casinos. There is just no way that a software provider like this could remain on the market if there was any hint of foul play.
You play live Mega Roulette in exactly the same way as you play European roulette – place your bets, the wheel spins, and you win or lose depending on the outcome. The only difference here is that in every round, a set of numbers are allocated Mega Multipliers that can help you win more cash.
Strategies like the Martingale, Fibonacci, and D’Alembert can often appear to be lucrative…until bad luck brings you a big loss. They may be worth looking into anyway, but Mega Roulette is a game of chance – just go with your instincts and try to predict where some of those Mega Multipliers will hit.
Even money bets like red/black and odd/even aren’t eligible for Mega Multipliers so, if you want to be in with a chance of reaping the benefits of one, you’ll need to place some Mega Bets or wager on single numbers. Their odds may be long, but the excitement of winning with one is truly electric.
The aim of the game in Mega Roulette, as in other forms of roulette, is to predict the number, colour, or parity (odd/even) of the slot the ball will land in when the wheel is spun. In this specific variant, most players will be picking single numbers and hoping to hit a Mega Multiplier.
For most bets on live Mega Roulette, you can expect a win ratio comparable with that of European roulette. You should, however, be aware that the payout of single number wagers not subject to a Mega Multiplier drops to 29:1 from the 35:1 of standard European roulette.
